Soya chunks Masala |
Ingredients
Soya chunks-100 gm
Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
Onion-2
Tomato-2
Bay leaves-2
Fresh cream-1 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Pepper powder-1/2tsp
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Kasuri methi (dry fenugreek
leaves)-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-4 tsp
Coriander leaves
Preparation
·
Soak soya chunks in hot water.
·
Boil soya chunks for 8 to 10 minutes and transfer to a bowl of cold
water.
·
Allow it to rest for some minutes and squeeze completely. Keep it
aside.
·
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and bay leaves.
·
Once it splutters add ginger garlic paste.
·
Cook it till it turns brown and then add chopped onions.
·
Saute it again until it turns golden.
·
Now add turmeric powder, cumin powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, Kashmiri
chilly powder and salt.

Mix well, once the raw smell goes add chopped tomato pcs.
·
Cook it well until it turns mushy.
·
Now switch off the flame.
·
Once this masala is cooled completely, using a mixer/blender grind
it to a smooth paste.
·
Then in a pan add grinded masala and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes.
·
Now add cooked soya and some water. Boil it for 5minutes or (until
the gravy is thick) on a medium flame and then add garam masala, kasuri methi
and fresh cream.
·
Garnish soya chunks masala with coriander leaves.
