Kappa meen curry (tapioca fish curry) recipe is Kerala’s own delicacy, any one who had tasted this classic combo will never forget the divine taste. Here is my way of making Kappa vevichath. let’s see how to make this at home…





Kappa vevichathu/Mashed Tapioca


Ingredients

Tapioca-1/2kg
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Ginger-a small pc
Mustard seeds-1/2tsp
Dry red chilly-1
Curry leaves as needed
Salt as needed
Coconut oil-2tsp
Water for boiling

Preparation

·         Peel the skin of tapioca and cut it into medium sized pcs.
·         Wash well and boil tapioca pcs along with turmeric powder, salt, and sufficient water.
·         Cook it till it become soft. Then keep it aside.
·         Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chilly.
·         When it splutters add sliced ginger pcs.
·         Saute well and add cooked tapioca.
·         Mix well and add switch off the flame.
·         Add some coconut oil and curry leaves.
