Idiyappam is typically made out of rice flour. Today we are going to make idiyappam using Ragi flour.

Ingredients
Roasted Ragi flour/ finger millet flour-1 cup
Salt
Water-1.5 cup
Oil- 1tsp
Preparation
·
Take a thick bottomed nonstick pan. Add 1 ½ cup water, 1tsp oil and boil it.
·
Then add ragi flour to it and stir immediately. Water should reach everywhere.
·
Stir it continuously until it comes together to form a dough.
·
Switch off the flame and transfer the dough to a wide vessel.
·
Grease your palm with oil and knead the dough smoothly.
·
Take the idiyappam maker (Mould) and add small portions of dough to it.
·
Take an idly maker, fill it with water and boil it.
·
Press the idiyappam strings onto idly plates (idiyappam has to be pressed
when the dough is hot)
·
Once it done transfer these plates to the steamer and steam it for 10 minutes.
·
serve it with coconut milk.
