Milk Peda. Peda is a favorite Indian sweet prepared during festive season.
There are so many ways to make peda. Here we are making peda using khoya. Let’s
see how to make milk peda using Khoya.

Instant
khoya recipe,
Ingredients
Milk
powder-1 cup
Milk-1/2cup
Ghee/butter-2tsp
Preparation
·
Take milk powder in a bowl.
·
Heat the milk and ghee in a small pan. Heat it till it boils.
·
Add milk powder to this hot milk-ghee mixture.
·
Cook it on medium flame.
·
Mash well until all lumps get dissolved and cook it till it get
thick and smooth consistency
Instant khoya is ready.
Authentic
way of making khoya,
Ingredients
Fresh
full fat milk-2L
Preparation
·
Bring
the milk to boil in a thick bottomed pan on a medium flame.
·
Once
it starts boiling, lower the flame.
·
Scrap
the sides and stir occasionally.
·
After
30 mins milk starts to thicken and changes it colour to light yellow.
·
Stir
continuously to avoid sticking on the bottom of the pan.
·
Cook
it until all the moisture evaporates.
·
Now
turn off the flame and let it cool down.
·
Store
it in refrigerator and consume it within 2 to 3 days.
Khoya using milk is ready.
For milk peda,
Ingredients
Grated
Khoya-2cup
Powdered
Sugar-1 ½ or 2cup
Ghee-3tsp
Cardamom
powder-1/2tsp
Preparation
·
Heat
ghee in a pan and add grated khoya.
·
Saute
it for some time and then add powdered sugar(adjust the sugar level according
to your taste) and cardamom powder.
·
Mix
well until it holds shape.
·
Switch
off the flame and let it cool down.
·
Form
into desired shapes.
Delicious peda is ready to serve.
