Rava Kesari is a delicious Indian
sweet made from semolina.This is a quick and easy sweet recipe, if you are in
a hurry. Let’s see how to make Rava Kesari.

Ingredients
Semolina /Weizen Griess / Rava-1 cup
Powdered Sugar-3/4 cup
Crushed cardamom-2
Ghee/Butter-4tsp
Raisins & Cashews-as required
Orange Food colour a pinch
Water-2cup
Preparation
·
Take a pan and 1tsp butter. When it heats up add
semolina. Roast it nicely for 5 minutes on medium flame.

Once it turns light golden shade, transfer it to
plate.
·
In the same pan add another ½ tsp ghee, once the
ghee is melted add raisins & cashews.
·
Roast till it golden in a medium flame. Set it
aside.
·
Take a wide pan and add 2 cups of water.
·
Once the water starts boiling, add semolina and
mix well. Break all the lumps using a ladle.
·
When semolina absorbs all the water, add powdered
sugar and crushed cardamom.
·
Don’t add whole sugar at once, add little by
little and mix nicely.
·
After sometime mix orange food colour in 1tsp water
and add this to the semolina mix.
·
Mix it well and add 2 1/2 tsp of ghee/ butter to
get a nice texture and taste.
·
At the end add raisins and cashews. Mix well.
Delicious Rava kesari is ready to
serve.
Note: You can replace orange food colour with saffron strands mix with
water.
